xEV (HV/LV DC-DC)
There are various loads such as electric power steering, fans, body control module and lift gate or window that cannot directly operate from the high voltage battery of the PHEV(Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles) and battery electric vehicles(BEV). HV/LV DC-DC block convert to high voltage battery(400~800V) to the low voltage battery(12/48V). The requirements are similar to DC-DC stage of on-bard charger(OBC).
There are requirements to integrate OBC and HV/LV DC-DC for weight and size optimization and cost reduction.
Typical HV/LV DC-DC power rating is 1.5kW~4kW for various loads in EV.
